If you are a person or family that loves the great outdoors, then surely you have already been on a number of outdoor trips lasting from half a day to weeks. Whether you are going camping, trekking, hiking or fishing, one of the most important aspects of your trip is your packing. Not only do you need to make sure that you have everything that you are likely to need on the trip, but also that you are able to carry it with you wherever you go. No doubt then, that you will easily be able to see the benefits of having a pressure cooker as part of your gear for every outdoor trip.
Firstly, a pressure cooker is a multi-purpose appliance. This means that when it comes to cooking, you can use it for a variety of purposes like boiling, steaming, sautéing, frying, poaching, warming, etc. The obvious benefit of this is that you only have to carry one pressure cooker, but you get to use it for a number of different purposes, eliminating the need to carry a number of different pots and pans. This will come as a great relief when your trip involves carrying your luggage on your back, instead of carrying it in the back of your car.
The second important use that you can put the pressure cooker to is for getting pure drinking water. The pressure cooker is admirably suited for the purpose of purifying and distilling water that you get from lakes, ponds, streams, rivers, etc. and make it fit for human consumption. This means that as long as there is a natural resource of water available, you don’t even have to carry too much drinking water with you and still be assured of absolutely pure drinking water, thanks to the pressure cooker.
Finally, the most important benefit provided by the pressure cooker is that it cooks your food extremely quickly. This means that you can actually spend your time engaged in other outdoor activities rather than sitting around a pot waiting for the food to cook.
